Cleanup on Aisle BOB
Correction 7/28 AM : Delaware and New Jersey numbers have been fixed.
There are a lot of final proposals coming out, and we are trying our best to keep up!
In its draft final proposal, New Hampshire describes reaching ~5K BSLs with 62% Fiber, 34% Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial (HFC), and 4% LEO.
New Hampshire clearly knows how to find a bargain as they are spending only 10% (yes… ten) of their BEAD allotment to shoot for universal access in the state.
Hey hey everyone, it’s an all fiber state… sort of. Technically half of Delaware’s BSLs will receive internet service from Pine using BOTH fiber and HFC/Coax/Cable.
When I lived in the Northeast they had ‘tag sales’ versus ‘garage sales’ and Delaware seemed to pick up more bargains, spending 12% of its BEAD allotment. Delaware BSLs will be reached BSLs at the cost of $2,822 (Federal dollars) a connection.
Update 9/2 - Finally chased down the BSL totals in New Jersey.
New Jersey technology spread will be approximately (waiting on BSL numbers) 44% Fiber and HFC, 9% LEO, and 12% Wireless.
And we now turn to the home of the Washington Commanders (Commies)… Maryland, for now. I will update you all tomorrow with BSL numbers, but financially, Comcast was the clear winner.
